What’s a New Creation?

So you’re new to this Christian thing, just got saved, and possibly keep hearing people say “you’re a new creation.” You may have seen it plastered on bumper stickers and t-shirts. Or maybe you’ve read 2 Corinthians 5:17, which says:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

But you don’t look any different than before—you don’t have wings, nor a halo, and you still appear to be human. You might even feel relatively the same.

So what does it truly mean to be a “new creation?”
