Global Minister Comes to Idaho

Life Church Welcomes Rev. Christopher Alam nOV. 15

Christopher Alam spied a white man in the middle of the street. He was handing out Christian tracks—a dangerous public endeavor in a Muslim country. Curiosity getting the better of him, Alam approached the man.

It turned out he was a missionary from England who was traveling the world to tell people about Jesus.

“The moment he said, ‘Jesus Christ,’ something got me,” Alam said. “I don’t know what it was. I didn’t understand it, but I thought, this is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life.”

So Alam closed his eyes and prayed a short salvation prayer with the man.

“Suddenly, it felt like I had lived my whole life carrying a huge boulder, and that had been lifted off,” Alam said. “That was the first thing. The second thing was it was like my whole life had been in black and white, and now everything was in technicolor.”

That was in 1975. Alam has been preaching the gospel around the world ever since. And at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 15, he’ll make a stop in Idaho at Life Church.

After receiving salvation, Alam was heavily persecution for the Gospel, which included a year in prison and time in a mental institution. Being threatened with execution unless he renounced Jesus, Alam escaped to Sweden where he was granted political asylum and attended Bible school.

Today, Brother Alam has preached the Gospel in more than 75 nations and seen more than 1,500 churches started as a fruit of his ministry in Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Each year, Dynamis World Ministries, which Alam founded, holds large open-air Gospel crusades with approximately one million people coming to Jesus.

“I have known Christopher since 1982 and have found him to be a man of integrity, sensitive to the moving of the Spirit of God,” said Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin.

“Christopher Alam is highly regarded by the Swedish Christian leadership I met,” said evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. “He is a man filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit, conducting Gospel crusades in different parts of the world, winning the lost for Jesus.”

Don’t miss out on hearing from guest minister Christopher Alam at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15. To hear more about his story, watch the video below.
