What Can You Believe for in 2022?

The new year is finally upon us—a fresh start to another trip around the sun.

And with the beginning of this new adventure, what are you believing God will do in your life during 2022?

Can you believe God will prosper that new business you’ll start? Can you believe He’ll open a way for you to buy a house? Can you believe He will heal your body, restore family relationships, or help you grow in spiritual giftings?  

Now, we’re not asking what God can do. There is a difference between what God can do in our lives, and what He actually does. So, what is the variable in the equation?

You.

As it says in Mark 9:23:

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

It’s not what your pastor can believe for you, not what that guy in your Life Group can believe for you, but what you can believe for you. All the people in the world can come along side you, but it won’t change anything if you don’t grab ahold of the promises of God for yourself.

Let’s not put a lid on God by using our faith solely for salvation. Faith is a powerful spiritual force that is meant to be used in all areas of our lives to produce real, tangible results

“But God is all-powerful and can do whatever He wants,” someone might shout.

Remember, Jesus could hardly do anything in His hometown of Nazareth because of their unbelief:

“Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief.” -Mark 6:5-6

So as 2022 begins, think of how you can grow and stretch your faith. No matter where you are in your faith walk, you can believe more than you do right now. There is always more of God to press into, more of His blessings to live in, more of His glory to experience.
