God’s Big Vision For You
Hardly anyone in the Bible has ever been prepared to step into what God had planned for them. Nor did they always see the vision God had for their lives.
Paul probably never thought he would spread Christianity—the religion he so eagerly tried to wipe off the face of the earth—throughout the known world. Peter probably didn’t daydream of leading the church as he gutted fish every day. Abraham was probably content having one son, and never thought how vast his family would be. The list goes on and on.
In each case, the vision God had for them was bigger than the vision they had for themselves. And the same can probably be said for us.
God doesn’t want us to think small. He invites us to dream BIG. God is waiting to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”
But if the vision God has for us is beyond what we can think, how can we possibly know what it is?
It’s simple—spend time with God and ask Him.
Today, pray: Lord, your word says to ask and it will be given, to seek and I will find, to knock and it will be opened to me. So today, I’m asking for you to help me see your vision for my life. Help me dream big and be bold and courageous to step into all that you have for me.
“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” -Matthew 7:8
