Daily Wor(d)kout Routine

10 Verses to Build Strength

Did you know any situation you may be going through is temporary?

Dealing with difficult people. Losing a loved one. Lack of finances.

All are obstacles. All are temporary.

The Lord knew problems would try to take us out and discourage us. That’s why God told us He would be with us and for us. And His word never fails.

In the Bible, we see King David often deal with adversity. Even with King Saul’s men trying to kill him, David said “he would sing aloud of [God’s] mercy in the morning.” David was strengthened as he remembered all the times God came through for him. He also knew there was power in declaring and singing God’s goodness out loud.

If you find yourself up against a problem or troubling circumstance, proclaim God’s word and what He says about your situation.

Below are ten verses to get you started:

  • Nehemiah 8:10 [I will] not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is [my] strength.

  • Hebrews 13:5 [God] Himself has said, “[He] will never leave [me] nor forsake [me].”

  • Psalms 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.

  • Psalms 59:16-17 But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy.

  • Isaiah 40:31 [I] wait on the Lord [and I will] renew [my] strength; [I will] mount up with wings like eagles, [I will] run and not be weary, [I will] walk and not faint.

  • Ephesians 6:10-11 [I am] strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. [I] put on the whole armor of God, that [I] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

  • Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

  • I John 4:4 He who is in [me] is greater than he who is in the world.

  • Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

  • Isaiah 40:29 [God] gives power to [me], and to those who have no might He increases strength.

God created the heavens and the earth with His words. We can shape the world around us with our words as well. The enemy has only won when we lose heart. Remember how God showed His faithfulness and it won’t be long before He does it again.
